a couple of years ago people would have been outraged by a tome not even receiving any lore but people were mad for like maybe 2 days and then moved on, the modern dbd fanbase just doesn’t care about lore or art.

way too many people have this attitude of “i don’t care as long as the gameplay is good” which really devalues the importance of art and story direction. and i wish it wasn’t such a common sentiment because it influences the game.

i understand licenses are expensive, maps are time consuming, game dev is complicated etc. but lowkey i have not been fully satisfied by a license in the past year or so except for TWD which turned out great imo.
