So Derek King will have a new member of the coaching staff joining him after all. Washington and Hershey will work to bring in a new video coach for Hershey prior to training camp starting next month.

Purner also was as a practice goalie in Hershey. Few times in a pinch it seemed like he might have to dress for a game. Never happened, but if it did, we had the graphic ready! . He joins Mike King (OTT) and Emily Engel-Natzke (WSH) as former Hershey video coaches in the NHL.

Congrats to @adam_purner who is a great guy. He worked his way up from outside the hockey world, to climbing the ladder, to the NHL after two Calder Cups in Hershey. He was fantastic to work with and an unsung hero behind the scenes. Good luck, Blade!.

As Dana notes, schedule works out well that King will get to face his former club as Rockford is on Hershey’s schedule for the first time since 2018-19.

Few new faces for the Bears to add all important depth to the organization. Bohlsen had a brief stint with Calgary after finishing up his NCAA career at Minnesota State. Mayer played 22 games with the Colorado Eagles last year in his rookie season with 4-5-9 from the blueline.
