Hosea loved an unfaithful wife. Christ loves an unfaithful church. Hosea paid silver & barley. Christ paid with His blood. Hosea restored Gomer. Christ restores us. No matter how far you’ve wandered—His love still pursues you. ❤️ #Hosea

The turning point: Hosea buys Gomer back. Fifteen shekels of silver + barley = about the price of a slave. Costly, humiliating… but it showed Hosea’s relentless love.

So God allowed judgment:.Jezreel = “Scattered”.Lo-Ruhamah = “No mercy”.Lo-Ammi = “Not my people”.But even as He disciplines, He promises restoration: “You will be called children of the living God.” (Hos. 1:10)

Israel’s sin wasn’t just breaking rules. It was spiritual adultery. Baal worship.Drunken feasts.Idolatrous rituals.Trusting foreign powers instead of God.Sin = cheating on the One who loves you most.

Hosea’s marriage wasn’t just personal—it was a living parable. Gomer (the unfaithful wife) = Israel, chasing idols. Hosea (the faithful husband) = God, pursuing His people.

The book of Hosea may be the most shocking love story in the Bible. A prophet told to marry a prostitute. A faithful husband joined to an unfaithful wife. Why would God ask this? 🧵
