The 3-30-300 rule has been endorsed by #Saanich council!. I am super excited about this!.
Urban Greening = promoting equity, health, well-being & resilience in #Saanich. I propose Saanich adopts a stretch goal of 3-30-300:.-3 trees visible from every home.-30% tree canopy/vegetative coverage.-300m to a park from every home. Ambitious? Uh, YA!.

There was unacceptable behavior at Saanich Council last night during the public meeting on the QMP. Respectful disagreement and open debate are part of democracy. Harassment is not. Every resident — regardless of their view — has the right to be heard without fear or intimidation

The Quadra McKenzie Plan has been revised based on community input and feedback from Phase 3 engagement. Council had previously directed a 4th round of public engagement to give as many residents as possible another opportunity to weigh in and help refine this community plan.
