4/n I spent a few hours over the weekend drafting v1.1 of my PRFAQ. I gave it a cool name, and I’m so proud of it. It’s called Tailwind - just google what it means in biking terms, and you'll probably understand why I named it so.

3/n I used AWS Systems Manager’s Hybrid Activation and their competitor's products. Moved a handful of EC2 instances using automation and managed them on another cloud provider and vice versa using the other cloud providers’ VM instances and managed it using Systems Manager.

2/n Most of the conversations were great and they all pulled me in each direction since some of them have been here since the inception of the product while a few of them just didn’t seem excited to speak to me which is fair I believe since I’m an intern.

Week 3 as an @aws intern. 1/n That was 14 meetings for the week, and all of them were internal. This included Engineers, PMs, Solution architects, Product specialists, and Technical Account Managers.

The product is so technically complicated that I love it. I might be cracked but I’m glad I get to work on such complicated systems. I’ve been playing with the product in a test environment and trying to understand various moving parts and it’s been really fun.

I drafted the first version of a small part of my task which was half a page and I got 27 comments from my manager. I love how detailed every single comment is and the structure and format I am forced to use.

Most documents are in a digestible format although it may be long and get tiring at times and oh boy, there are no decks. Most of my onboarding and the first week was just reading about the culture, and product and meeting the team.

Reading and writing are the sole way of communicating and documenting everything here. It’s really interesting to see how certain docs are structured and standard company-wide.
