🧵The Future of Trust: A World Beyond Institutions:.Stronger institutions enabled a society based upon the opinion of civilians. It meant that the unpredictable use of violence, the ruling of tyrants, and the conditions of oppression gave way to a system of norms and regulations.

I'm don't know if @baseapp approach will work. It's an experiment, and even them don't have a clear idea how the "cointent" will play out. In the actual form, I don't like it either, and would prefer a tip mechanism, directly rewarding content creators and curating content.

Content creators need to acknowledge that they are always extracting value from their audience. No necessary sum zero, but value needs to flow user->creator. In attention economy, this value is indirect from ads/shilling. Web3 is exploring new ways.

UPDATE: just to be clear I have no paid partnership with @baseapp so here’s my honest take:. Yes, I “made” $65 yesterday from posting my video. But I didn’t get paid like a creator- I cashed out the token. At its peak, my wallet balance was around $185… but people started.

Told my child countries that they were allowed to hit each other only once per day, so they should really think it through and not waste their one hit. And now they're calmly discussing when might be the best time to hit each other. I'm a genius.".

8/ With Cherry, we introduce a standardized, open-source query layer for structured, precise, provider-agnostic access to on-chain data. Paired with HyperSync, it has one of the fastest data engines available, delivering massive performance gains across 70+ chains.

7/ Controlling Table Inclusion:.Tables like blocks, logs, and txs must be included in a request or with a flag. Multiple requests can be combined to shape multi-table responses, where each table includes only relevant, filtered data. query_3_img

6/ Filtering Data at the Source:.Beyond selecting columns, you can use request objects to filter rows based on conditions. Most fields are queryable. Want to isolate only certain transactors in a specific block range? You can filter by from = 0xd8d. or with value > 1e10.

5/ Selecting Only the Fields That Matter:.Instead of retrieving full tables, the query object requires you to explicitly opt into each data field you want to retrieve, keeping responses lightweight and minimizing unnecessary processing.

4/@envio_indexer's HyperSync is among the powerful providers integrated, replacing RPC with a high-speed engine for real-time & historical data. Paired with Cherry, it gives access to fast, queryable datasets—across 70+ EVM chains, making it ideal for cross-chain apps and tooling.

3/ Cherry lets devs run precise, efficient queries—like fetching only "Transfer" from a list of wallets between blocks X and Y—without excess data. This reduces bandwidth usage and boosts pipeline speed. Plus, it's provider-agnostic: switch or mix sources without rewriting code.

2/ Data providers are ditching JSON-RPC for faster custom APIs, leading to fragmentation and vendor lock-in. Cherry embraces this idea but in a different route: an open-source query layer based on exposing table-like abstractions (block, log, tx) for filtering data at the source.

Pipelines with Smart Queries🍒.Blockchain data at scale hurts. JSON-RPC is expensive, inefficient for history data, and unfit for high-throughput workflows. Combining @steelcakedev's query layer with @envio_indexer's HyperSync speed devs no longer need to compromise performance.

That's what we are doing with money. I also think the social graph is the piece we need to decentralize next to lower dependency on big social tech. But data will centralize again, again, again. "Moloch the incomprehensible prison!".

It feels like it will always be a cat-and-mouse chase. >A centralized org figures out how to create some really valuable data. >It amasses a lot of users. >It starts to have a lot of power due to network effects. >We decentralize this piece. >New data became more important.

The internet was somehow decentralized initially as well, with everyone hosting their own website. Will blockchains centralize around data, too?. We weren't able to figure out how to extract a large chunk of protocol data in a centralized way yet, so how will we decentralize it?.

8/ Cherry and @helloSQD offer a robust, modular approach to onchain data. Importantly, Cherry's vision aligns closely with SQD's: providing permissionless, scalable, and developer-friendly access to blockchain data.

7/ Pipeline is a regular Python obj, meaning you can build functions for them, reuse modules, or parameterize it. This maximizes flexibility. And since it's all Python, you can bring in any custom libraries you want. 👉Check the detailed walkthrough:.

🍒Indexing Jupiter with Cherry.Indexing tools are slow, with layers of unnecessary complexity. Cherry is pure Python with Rust under the hood, built for performance. Build custom pipelines and query raw data in EVM and Solana using familiar tools like pandas, polars, or duckdb.🧵
