This is a model that I painted for a Chinese friend. Being in China, I might not be able to assist you directly, but you could try purchasing the model and then look for someone who provides 3D printing and model painting services.

It's best to print separately if you can. There aren't really better methods; everything ultimately still requires sanding, and more sanding will result in a better finish.
