I remember having convos with Dr. Trevy McDonald while she was fighting to earn tenure. It wasn’t much different than NHJ. Now that NHJ has made her decision, I pray the media coverage doesnt just disappear. This is an ongoing fight! Changes need to be made at that school. Period

A big fact. UNC’s school of journalism and media discouraged me from pursuing journalism or media post-grad. Denying NHJ was no different than the constant denials for students of color within the J School. They recycle the very few (couple) of Black students who show enough
