Stating "affiliate link" isn't enough disclosure when sharing one. Support creators who clearly say they earn a commission or use an ad label when space is tight.🙌🏾

If modders stop updating, a lot of Simmers will have to choose between using MCCC, WW, etc. or updating for new packs. After losing their biggest promoters I don't think EA can afford to lose modders as well.

It's unfair to assume EA Creators are dishonest. 🙏🏾 Still, consumers are increasingly aware of bias & how sponsored content is part of EA's marketing strategy. Naturally this can affect the weight they give a partner's opinion. That's a compromise that comes with being sponsored.

I recommend listening to this podcast where a creator openly talks about how these sponsored "reviews" are basically marketing. I agree that if the creator's content is incentivized it's essentially a product showcase and no longer a review. https://t.co/ivhThadBgn

Sponsored doesn't equal lack of integrity though I get the reservation since any benefit introduces bias. That's why disclosure is required by law (which the creator did). Calling it a review is a stretch imo since that implies neutrality, which a brand partner can't fully claim.
