Last week, staff and students from Weledeh worked on recording a children's album in Wılı̀ı̀deh and Tłı̨chǫ with help from musician David Gon! MAHSÌ CHO to the whole team that helped us with the recording. This is a wonderful accomplishment for YCS and our community.

Congratulations to Ms. Jasmin Sumcad on being named the staff recipient of the 2024-2025 Yellowknife Catholic Schools Spirit of Christ Award! Jasmin was honoured at our annual Long Service Awards that took place on June 7 at the Chateau Nova.

Last week the students at École St. Joseph School had the honour of working with artist, James Wedzin to create murals on the school tent frame. We are thrilled at the results and are so proud of our students for their contribution to the project! It looks amazing!

We are thrilled to announce the selection of a new principal at École St. Patrick High School, Dr. Kathleen Finnigan. She will joins us commencing in the 2025/2026 school year, and we couldn't be more excited for her to lead our incredible school community.
