Excellent news ! Phonics Play is one of our favourite websites and it follows Letters and Sounds which is the phonics programme we use. Please share and encourage more Y1 parents to follow us.

Positive news for next week. Joe Wicks 9am Monday to Friday doing live PE lessons on his You Tube channel ! We will join in !.

All home learning is online (Y1). If your child is in school or unwell please don't undertake this learning. We will update the school website links by the end of the day Monday 23rd March with learning for Tues 24th onwards. Keep well.

Miss Lloyd's sister in law wrote this book - it's one of Class 5's favourites ! I wonder if anyone in Class 5 will come to school tomorrow dressed as the Professor. or even a pink elephant in frilly pants !.

Too late for tonight (I hope!) but apparently a 2L bottle of full fat Coca-Cola is a great way to rid your child's hair of headlice. Pour on freshly shampood hair then leave to dry. Once dry, shampoo out then comb as before. I can't say I've tried it but I'd give it a go!.

The Teach Your Monster To Read app is free to download until 28th Feb. It's not often on offer so grab the opportunity while we are on Half Term .

Just incase you haven't seen the email from the school office today, please could you send your child in on Monday morning with a book that is special to them. Please pop their name inside and we'll send them back home by Friday next week. No specific themes are needed. Thanks.

We are having great fun this week learning about 'greater than' and 'less than' through musical maths. "The 'gator eats the greater" is a fun way of remembering the < > symbols. Have a go with your child - they might pop the teeth and tail on and that's fine!.

We hope you are all having a wonderful break. In our house, despite the youngest member being 15, we are VERY excited about The Tiger Who Came To Tea on Ch4 at 7.30pm tonight. Your children know this story from this term's guided reading . Merry Christmas!.

How exciting! The Tiger Who Came To Tea will be on Channel 4 at 7.30pm on Christmas Eve. Ask your child all about the book from our Whole Class Guided Reading!.

Nativity tickets have come home today. All children have the promised 2 tickets. The spares were allocated on a first come first served basis. If you have spares that you no longer need please send them back to your child's teacher tomorrow so that they can be reallocated.

Don't forget to hand in your Nativity ticket letters today if you haven't already done so. We will be distributing spares this week. Everyone is guaranteed 2 tickets. Any clothes for the show need to be in by Thursday please as we show the school our Nativity on Friday.

Nativity costumes are starting to trickle in. Thankyou. Please renember to send anything needed in by this time next week in a named carrier bag. Please don't buy anything - it's not a long Nativity! Let us know if you're struggling and we can ask around.

Letters for Nativity tickets came home today. Separated parents that we are aware of will be contacted with a 2nd letter. Please see us if this affects you and we aren't aware. You can opt for 1 ticket on each day or 2 tickets on one day. Any spares are first come first served.

What a great morning we have had, practising for our Nativity, 'It's A Baby'. Look out for a slip of paper today telling you your child's part. If your child is a Narrator they have their lines to bring home to learn off by heart with your help. Thankyou.
