Her research explored how Plasmodium falciparum invades red blood cellsโ€”and how future malaria vaccines can stop it. ๐Ÿงฌ๐ŸฆŸ. She did much of the work in a remote lab in Kรฉdougou, Senegal, using genomics, structural biology, mathematical modeling, and CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing.
