War, especially a prolonged one with relentless suffering, makes everyone lose their heads. But this is silly and worthy of an apology. @shustry is a professional, judicious, courageous reporter who has been reporting on Ukraine for a decade-plus.
I am fine with dramatization of political life and appreciate narratives that I don't necessarily share, yet it seems that @TIME did let a Russian asset (even if an unwitting one) to profile the Ukrainian president.

My review and profile of @mirrorsbreath and her profoundly observed new book, published today.
In a new book, a Russian journalist attempts to work through how she missed—or failed to adequately react to—Russia’s descent into fascism, @yaffaesque writes.

The rise and fall of Yevgney Prigozhin is one of the signal tales of the Putin era: ambition, brutality, cynicism, a system losing its centrifugal force and trying to retain it at all costs. My postscript on the founder of Wagner for @NewYorker:

The long, gruesome story of Wagner, from Ukraine to Africa and the oil fields of Syria and back to Ukraine again, where it sent thousands of convicts into the "meat grinder." And then, fatefully, on the march to Moscow. My piece in this week's @NewYorker:
