Look who is back again! #proud to represent diagnostic radiographers. Thanks to those who have trained/mentored me @WestMidHospital @ChelwestFT and my lecturers @SGULRadiography @CanterburyCCUni @UniofHerts @CURadiography Everything we do is for our patients #wearethenhs
‘The role of a radiographer is really significant. We’ll often be one of the key people involved at the start, to help diagnose what is wrong.’ Diagnostic Radiographer Rupert shares how meeting radiographers as a patient inspired him to become one himself. #WeAreTheNHS

I am utterly devastated at the impact this error has had on resident doctors applying for radiology and I feel incredibly sorry for all those doctors affected. In the short term this needs to be fixed ASAP and that should be the focus. (1/3)
🧵We were devastated to hear of the error in processing rankings for radiology specialty training applications. This will undoubtedly be hugely difficult for the many doctors awaiting news, in a year where there is such heavy competition (1/3) ⬇️

JD Vance is erasing the hundreds of British troops who gave their lives in Iraq + Afghanistan from history. Six of my own regiment, the Royal Military Police, didn’t return home from Iraq. This is a sinister attempt to deny that reality. Vance has demeaned his office.
Bad news for Starmer and Macron. Vance confirms the only US security guarantee in Ukraine will be the mineral deal. He also plays down British & French peacekeeping troops as “20k troops from some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30 or 40 years”. https://t.co/6bujpsjygX

Trainline charges fees on about 1/3rd of the tickets it sells, in addition to the 5% commission it earns. So I was surprised to read the claim: ‘You won’t find cheaper tickets anywhere else.’ You will – just choose one of the fee-free rail firms/retailers. https://t.co/sqr6OraYIU

Exclusive: Trainline adds a fee of up to 4% on top of the 5% commission it earns from rail firms

Absolutely abhorrent. This trust apparently spent £3.5m of all our money to attack NHS staff. Doctors, and everyone working for the NHS, need to see this. Next time your local NHS management try to guilt or otherwise coerce you into doing extra work, remember this.👇🏼
This is the Litmus strategy that @MSEHospitals have signed up to. Deliberately slashing your pay then trying to "grip and control" you. No thought given to staff or patients. Know your worth. Do not pick up locum shifts for insulting rates.

I've been writing again. Well, TBH, venting my spleen. One day my splenetic venting will cross over the line; transgressing into the realm of swivel-eyed and unhinged ranting I'm counting on you filthy animals to tell me if that happens https://t.co/XdzAhLeAq4

Concerns grow over way physician associates are used in NHS https://t.co/Lri29bhQ0Q

In your hospital or your GP surgery, there could be a member of staff most people have never heard of - physician associates.

I’ve not encountered a problem or scenario in 20 years of clinical medicine to which the answer is a physician associate / PA.

@LBC @wesstreeting @ShelaghFogarty @GlobalPlayer I have spent 4 years training to be a Dietitian - an AHP specialising in diagnosing nutrition related conditions & giving advice to support these. Is a physician associate now taking over my job too if the only example of the niche they fill is to talk to patients about nutrition
