Honesty and facts matter. That’s why I’m proud to help launch Shield PAC, an effort to support House moderates by telling the truth about their work and defending against partisan lies. Read more at https://t.co/LPfPW9nPpV.

David Soules did great things in a consistently good and deeply kind way. He loved his family, the land, and teaching others. Friend, you leave a legacy and countless lives, like mine, touched forever.

Karen answered the call to serve with love. She dared to dream and put in the work, changing lives for the better here in Las Cruces. As we mourn this tragic loss, I pray her family finds strength from the love of a grateful community.

We have lost an NM State Police officer who answered a call to duty, knowing the danger and choosing to serve. As I pray for the fallen officer’s family, and the wounded officers, I am deeply grateful to those who risk their lives every day to serve.

Today is a day of new beginnings and centuries-old challenges. Let us rise to meet this “crucible for the ages” by daring to work as one nation, strengthened by union amidst diversity. President Biden and Vice President Harris, congratulations and Godspeed. @POTUS @KamalaHarris

The hour is late to fight the sins of institutional racism and injustice. We must act now and we must act with love, for “history is cluttered with the wreckage if communities that failed to follow this command.” Martin Luther King, Jr., rest in power and eternal truth.

For the sake of our country, Democratic and Republican leaders must immediately unite behind the results of a legitimate election. We are seeing the consequences of this disinformation playing out before our eyes.

As people storm security inside the Capitol, threaten Capitol Police officers and journalists, and chant pledges to the President who refuses to honor the results of the election, it’s clear: this is not a peaceful protest—it is a riot.

Congratulations to my friend @DebHaalandNM on her historic nomination! To tackle climate change, protect our public lands, & honor our trust responsibility, we need all stakeholders at the table & I believe Rep. Haaland will advocate for working together & finding solutions.

It has taught me in some of the greatest moments that the best surprises happen when you come into a room thinking that there might be nothing you can agree on — and instead find common ground that we can build together.

Stopped by Milagro to get one last coffee! It's so important that all New Mexicans make their voices heard this year. If you haven't yet, you have until 7pm to cast your ballot either by voting in person or filling out your absentee ballot and returning it to a polling place.

Always great to stop into Teofilo’s for lunch — and some sopapillas! Small businesses are the backbone of our communities and it’s so important we continue to support them.
