When one has to repeat oneself too many times to get heard, there is less time to do the actual work. Certain amount of time spent on convincing others is often needed but the goal should be minimize that time as much as possible for people who actually want to get good work done.

Talking too much and listening too little creates pretty toxic (at least for introverts) feedback loops in a group setting. (I've also experienced the reverse once or twice in life, where a bunch of friendly people gather frequently but talk too little!).
