He is holding this huge grudge against the information broker for having so much control over his secrets and his eye. Lastly in their versus card, Cypher is at the center of Sova’s pupil. He is a crucial piece in how Sova lost and gained a new eye (9)

Cypher's possible construction of Sova’s eye could explain why he knows such precious information about Sova. As we know, Cypher’s help comes with a price. And it could explain why Sova is the only one who knows and says Cypher’s real name (8)

For example, Tejo & Brim’s arm bracers, and KJ & Deadlock–KJ, who created Deadlock’s arm. Plus I’m sure, many more. (7)

Maybe a stretch to mention, but: the Interface for Sova’s Owl drone (Connected to his eye) is similar to the Interface of Cypher’s Spy Cam. Yes, there are slight difference, but these aren’t the only agents who share the same technology and aesthetics (6)

Cypher’s ultimate, “Neural theft”, steals intel through corpses bc the nervous system doesn't die instantly. The eye is connected to the nervous system through the optic nerve. Bc of that Cypher should be knowledgeable about how to connect an eye to Sova’s nervous system (5)

Cypher’s tech revolves around his vision: cameras, neural theft, and his mask with his blue lenses. Based on his tech, Cypher is well-informed about how to break apart and reconstruct an eye, at least at a rudimentary level, since he works exactly on that with his cameras. (4)

Only shock darts and cages differ, one leaning more offensive, the other defensive. Cypher and Sova are usually on the same team together: Fade Reveal, Retrieving Deadlock, Sunset, and  Reckoning Cinematic. Thus, Cypher would know the importance of Sova’s work and his eye. (3)
