I haven't showcased my musical background in my writing before, but in this WIP it's been fun to explore, particularly taking on the challenge of describing music. Plus it's been fun to learn new things (like I really slept on not learning the tango).

In my new WIP the LI has emotion magic. He’s a musician so he processes emotion through sound (like I do sometimes because of synesthesia because autism) so this morning has just been me listening to a variety of band instruments making wild noises 😂.

Can someone tell me what the discourse about AI and em dashes is because I don't know a writer alive who doesn't abuse the shit out of em dashes. And if AI picked up on that it's because it's abusing the shit out of writers and no one is stopping it.

TW: pet death, grief, cancer. We had to say goodbye to my 10 year old cat Maia today. She’s been struggling with an aggressive form of facial sarcoma for about a month. Not mentioned On Here bc it just feels like too much grief to be real. Cancer sucks. That is all.
