9 years ago I was the recipient of unexpected generosity when Robert Redford called me out of the blue to say nice things about my book, All the Wild That Remains. Today Sierra mag published an essay I wrote about Redford's first environmental fight. https://t.co/ppRtnIhqhq

Thrilled to announce the release of the 25th anniversary edition of Return of the Osprey, published by Cornell U. Press. It has a stunning cover by Mark Smith and a foreword by Helen Macdonald that made Nina cry and got me a little choked up too. @marktakesphoto

A lot of my Flaco interviews struck the same note. Not this one where we discussed Sontag, Warhol, and the self-consciousness of our current life of screens. Thanks to @brinicio @BirdCentralPark

The Flaco story led me to many unexpected places. One was a deeper consideration of zoo ethics. Read about it in https://t.co/tbHVFmSMgW And come on out tomorrow night the 27th at 6 at NYU. (link below) https://t.co/kE2jYHliJB @BirdCentralPark @EspressoBird

Just in time for the weekend's #Flaco remembrances, @writingosprey's #TheBookofFlaco landed on my doorstep with lovely writing, photos, and remembrances from people like me who fell in love with this beautiful bird. It's heartening to know there's a flock of us.
