Y'all! It's my first peer-reviewed publication! If you're curious how the American founders read books and used the ideas they found to help shape a new nation, you might find this interesting. https://t.co/VDOkHFf0GG

It was a long road. Between Nov 1 and late April, I submitted 30+ applications and got nothing but silence and rejections. I had a great outcome. Still, it was exhausting and demoralizing. And, since my new post is temporary, I'll be back at it again, starting in a few weeks.

Just submitted a complete draft of my PhD thesis: "How Political Action Shapes the Actor: The Political Theory of Martin Luther King Jr." If all goes well, there's going to be a Dr. Harris on the job market soon!

Proud of @SchmittTheory for designing and implementing a practical class in Political Theory. You think about it. Then you learn it by living it. Then you think again about what you did. It's called theory. https://t.co/N3HG58Iqvc

You could write the same article about C.S. Lewis, T.S. Eliot, Flannery O'Connor, Alan Bloom, and Harold Bloom and title it "Classical education is a bust" https://t.co/4zCyP2oWYq

So . . . we chat about how my book builds a conversation across political boundaries. Then the host builds energy to hold people through the commercial break with "liberalism is a mental disorder. Come back . . ." Sigh

In the fall of 2014 I was revising a novel proposing that the world is a better place when the strongest country and the best country are the same country. At the same time, my friend Leanne Cannon was showing us how it is done. https://t.co/uDRGd445yx
