threw a party today for Hall of Famer Silver Charm to celebrate his 25th birthday. The champion won the 1997 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes as well as the 1998 Dubai World Cup. After receiving cards and cake, Silver Charm enjoyed a good roll.
Happy birthday to Yutaka Take! The legendary jockey was the recipient of the 2017 Longines and IFHA International Award of Merit, which recognizes distinguished horsemen and horsewomen for lifelong contributions to Thoroughbred racing.

Frankie Dettori and Ryan Moore at Friday's Longines Hong Kong International Races Gala dinner. Dettori was celebrated as the 2018 Longines World's Best Jockey, and he joins Moore as a two-time winner of the award, which was established in 2014.
On Tuesday, Equinox became the second horse from Japan to win the Longines World's Best Racehorse title. The first was Just A Way in 2014!
