Got the first purchase from my newsletter. More than a year after writing. I recently started writing about the products I sell instead of marketing. Someone found my article on Google, clicked on the link and bought from us. Possibly the happiest moment of writing.

Last 4 posts haven't done quite well. 44% open rate and 55 views per post. This is irrelevant. I will continue focusing on writing. I am enjoying the process.

How have we spent ad money across different channels?

Can it be - What works or does not work for wellness industry? The POV could be of a CEO and Marketeer of a wellness company. All the challenges we face as a brand and company. Okay, I will think about this for some time.

I have also been exploring new topics. Health and wellness (by nature of my job), seems like a great place to start. But I don't have credentials. That scares me. I am thinking what should be my point of view on health and wellness.

I enjoy the writing process each week on Sunday. It gives me a break from everything going on in life. I tried to publicise on LinkedIn initially, but then stopped posting. This I think was wrong. I shouldn't stop posting. I have to be shameless in promoting the newsletter.

At the moment, I haven't done anything to grow the audience. I am not sharing on LinkedIn as well. Last year, I believed that once I write about 30 posts, I can start blasting short form content on LinkedIn. However, I haven't been able do it.

The 4 weeks of writing has seen lower open rates and views. I am wondering - 1. Is the write up not interesting? Is it not new or detailed or differentiated? 2. Is the "DTC" series not interesting? Should I remove the series name? It did well initially.

I knew nothing about product seeding or a seeding program. I read Nik Sharma's posts about leveraging influencers and thought will give it a shot. This was back in Dec. I was hoping to get 10 creators collaborating each month. Instead we got 30 collaborative posts, each month!

My break email got 74% open rate and higher views than normal posts! Last week I was on break. So I wrote "break time" email to my engaged readers (opened at least one email in past 1 M). I was quite surprised. Maybe I should writing direct emails a few times each month.

For past few weeks, I have shifted to post notifications only via email. No more post announcements on X or Instagram. Don't know if that works. However, views has come down. Subscriber addition is also slow. I will continue this for a while. Need a boost soon though.

I am scared on day 365. I wasn’t on day zero. This day zero feels different.

I think not sharing on social media on Sunday was the culprit. What do you think is right?

Last week's post performed the worst. 38% open rate vs avg 55% open rate. What changed? I did two changes last week. 1. No numbering in the post title. Instead moved this to description section. 2. No outright social media sharing on Sunday. Instead I shared on Tuesday.
