Found this program today from my dad Joe Wischnowsky’s 2005 induction into the Kankakee High School Hall of Fame. So fun to read the description of many of his amazing athletic achievements. #Legend

Such an absurd omission.
Since the All-Star Game started in 1933, just 5 players have had 25+ HR and 75+ RBI before the break and not made the All-Star team. 2025 Seiya Suzuki.2008 Ryan Howard.2000 Frank Thomas.1970 Billy Williams.1935 Hank Greenberg. Make it 26 and 80 so far this season for Suzuki.

My favorite memory from this location: My dad dropping me back off at Illinois following Spring Break my freshman year. We got Gutbusters and watched Tyus Edney's coast-to-coast dash to beat Mizzou in the NCAA Tourney.
