Mingzhe Guo (@guo_mingzhe ) from @CmPA_KULeuven discussed the transverse oscillations in coronal loop structures with elliptical cross-sectional geometries. He showed the key differences in MHD kink wave properties.

Then, Giuseppe Nistico from Università della Calabria, Italy, talked about the density structuring of the solar corona. He presented observations in EUV passbands of sungrazing comet transits and estimation of density magnitudes from the perturbations at the tail of the comets.

Teodora Mihailescu (@teiamih ) from @mssl_solar gave a Metcalf Lecture on wave-driven FIP changes in the solar active region plasma. She presented observational evidence from EIS/Hinode data of ionization state variations in the plasma due to resonant/non-resonant waves in loops.

J. Martin Laming from NRL,USA(@USNRL ) gave an excellent talk on the role of MHD waves in inducing FIP effects in the solar corona. He highlighted that waves in the active regions could trigger ionization changes in the elemental composition in an overlying plasma environment.

Finally, Zhenhgua Huang from the Shandong Univ. showed coupling between two instabilities (Kelvin-Helmholtz&Karman vortex-sheet) in the solar corona. They showed observations of shaking/disintegration of plasma-blob structure(s) at the interface between a jet &a plume structure.

Continuing with coronal rain... Veronika Jercic from @CmPA_KULeuven showed 2.5D MHD numerical simulations of the coronal rain/prominence phenomenon. She modelled the plasma draining process in solar filament structures triggered by an in-situ reconnection event(s).

Our own Seray Sahin (@Seray_Sahinn ) from @SolarSpaceNU showed multi-wavelength observations of coronal rain (☔️) in the corona. She highlighted differences and similarities between quiescent and flare-driven coronal rain.

Elena Petrova from @CmPA_KULeuven showed rotational behaviour in a coronal jet structure resembling Gandalf’s hat, using high-resolution EUI/Solar-Orbiter observations. Intensity tracks in time-distance diagrams provided clues of plasma rotation during the jet eruption.

Further, Noemi Kinga Zsamberger from Sheffield Uni. (@SP2RC ) provided a review of the ‘family of asymmetric waveguides’ in the solar atmosphere. She highlighted the dependence of waveguide asymmetry in MHD wave propagation and the triggering of instabilities.

Then, Sergio Diaz-Suarez from Universitat de les Illes Balears, Spain, highlighted the role of MHD waves in the density structuring of the solar atmosphere. He showed numerical simulations of overdense thread generation in the solar corona by torsional Alfven waves.
