P7 had a fantastic time at JYHS completing the Madrid Marathon (no running involved!). We loved exploring Spanish in the high school setting, as well as getting to know JYHS. Well done to all the winners! #JYHS

P4HDK have been learning about racism and today we wore red to ‘Show Racism the Red Card’. Using the theme ‘Challenge Harmful Narratives’ we created comics to show why racism is wrong. #ShowRacismtheRedCard

This week in P2L we have been learning all about the Christian festival of Harvest. We also discovered that in the Jewish religion the Festival of Sukkot is also celebrated at this time of year. We then tried to build our own Sukkahs........

Our challenge this afternoon was to find something outside that measured exactly 1/2 metre. It was much harder than we thought yet with lots of perseverance we succeeded!

Some P6 pupils have been working with Mrs Ellis to explore profiling through My World of Work. They love how this looks and how user friendly it is. They can’t wait to help lead this within our upper school classes

P5JM had a brilliant time exploring African body percussion in Expressive Arts today as part of #BlackHistoryMonth. After watching a short tutorial, they amazed Ms J by creating and performing a 7-part polyrhythm on their very first attempt!

P1B continued their learning about Autumn by finding leaves of different shapes and sizes. We then did leaf rubbings to see the lines in the leaves. “We did magic!” Exclaimed one child. 🍁🍂

Children in P4, 5, 6 and 7 have enjoyed being creative when designing a new Fairtrade tea brand as part of their work learning more about Fairtrade & how it helps tea farmers across the world. They are encouraging everyone to brew it fair! 🫖☕️@FairtradeUK

As part of fairtrade fortnight, P7 worked on spelling some tricky words associated with Fairtrade. They then used these words to construct sentences using connectives.
