William Pike was on Mount Ruapehu in 2007 when it erupted, resulting a near-death experience and a leg amputation. Upon hearing the news of the White Island eruption, William said it 'really struck a chord'. @williampikenz

I've always wanted to be a TEDx speaker and when I was given the opportunity to speak at The University of Auckland ASPIREx conference I jumped at it. I spoke to all of their staff about the necessity of stepping outside of their comfort zone to achieve the extraordinary.

I got my hands dirty over the weekend volunteering my time to plant trees on Motuihe Island. Since 2004, volunteers have planted a whopping 440,000 trees transforming Motuihe Island from farmland to forest. It was awesome to spend the day giving back to the community.

Not many people can say they've spoken to an audience of 2,500 people, but I can. This epic picture was taken at the 2018 Barfoot and Thompson Annual Convention. Peter Thompson gave me some great feedback from the convention and I'm looking forward to more large scale events!
