One of the most bizarre claims about trans people is that we're a new phenomena given that there are so so so many examples from history. Most of whom are incredibly badass and very self-aware.
Think trans people are too mean about misgendering these days? From 1913 on, Zapatista colonel Amelio Robles Ávila threatened to shoot anyone that called him a woman with his pistol. He lived openly as a man for 71 years and was supported by his family, peers, and government.

I’m big on pronouncing people’s names the way they’re intended. Idc if there are 20 letters from the alphabet, teach me how to pronounce your name.

You have to be gone throughout the day and you’re locked in all night. These spaces tend to be segregated by gender but often do not allow trans folks to be in the space that matches their gender. overall it’s not a solution to anything just prolonging suffering

It’s now illegal to be homeless in Los Angeles, I don’t know anymore I’m just hurting. As a child, my mom and I were homeless bc we were escaping domestic violence. we slept outside for a while bc “friend” put us out without any of our belongings.

Social media is so pivotal in these moments, especially when western media actively keeps us from seeing these images. Your retweets and sharing are important. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.

7 Years. Flint, MI has been without clean water for 7 years. The effects of the water crisis will be felt for generations. And the worst part of it all... Flint is not the only city with toxic water. It is one of the hundreds of cities across the country with bad water.

Black lives shouldn’t have to end for people to awaken to racism.

I recommend everyone make a list of 911 alternatives for different emergencies they can reference in time of crisis. I made one back when Defund the Police really started picking up steam and Twitter was sharing a lot of alternatives
