@anirahkap thank you for making this bc i thought i was crazy with how much i didn’t like jace in the first three books. he gets better later on but i always thought he was needlessly vicious to alec for no damn reason.

Alec instinctively takes any praise from Jace as mockery, because that's all he's used to getting from the person who should be supporting him the most
