Achieved the most satisfying, and arguably the best Pokemon Stadium run. Managed to save nearly 4 hours off the record, and just get the record to under 16 hours! I don't see this one getting beaten for a long, long time https://t.co/sRVuofRhZC

Gonna be cool for a whole new wave of people to play Fire Red/Leaf Green and get pissed that their Golbat can't evolve until post game. And then find out that even after post game, they can't get their Eevee to evolve in Espeon/Umbreon either.

Finished Octopath 0. Another 10/10 game. No other series has ever given me 3 elite games in a row, let alone from its first three entries. By far my favourite game series in the modern era. So happy these games have existed given others have disappointed over the same period.

Every person glazing the new Pokemon game is also like "oh yeah I haven't even finished it but I spent 800 hours on black loading screens to grind shinies." THAT'S peak?? I liked the game but damn lol

@wersterlobe I thought exactly that before I started! Ultimately it was finding SRL and stuff like bingo races which got me going. I think achievements/thresholds is a fun idea. Mario Kart 64 does that on their website and it definitely encourages people to get X rank on all the tracks

There also seems to be this weird barrier between 'speedrunners' and others. Like so many people have this thought process of "you have to play at this super high level to be a speedrunner and I could never do that" I still think that barrier is as big as it's ever been.

I think it would encourage more people to do and submit runs that otherwise wouldn't. Would love to see more games filled with submissions of varying skill levels. And also for existing runners to learn other games (i.e. get expert achievement in a bunch of games would be fun)

Would love it if SRC had an achievement system for different levels to encourage runners below WR level Simple start, having 'beginner/intermediate/expert' time thresholds created by moderators, and get an achievement on your profile for getting below them.

These games didn't lose value - depending on when you sold you might've made money. You still never spent more than 100% of a games value for one complete game. Now you'll spend 150% of a games value for arguably less than one complete game. And good luck reselling the DLC pack!

On Poke DLC: Still seeing people saying DLC model is better because you only pay an extra ~50% of a games price instead of a whole new updated game, which would cost 100%. Y'all need to figure out that if Ruby is worthless to you after you bought Emerald, you could sell Ruby.

I love all the non competitive elements around speedrunning, and the charity marathons are amazing (GDQ/ESA/ASM etc) But I also love competition, and having another avenue to compete other than just the grind would be great. And tournament structure would be way better in person
