I hope this will speed up the removal of the option to log in or use text messages as 2FA mechanism. And not just for X. That’s such an insecure factor.
We can confirm that the account @SECGov was compromised and we have completed a preliminary investigation. Based on our investigation, the compromise was not due to any breach of X’s systems, but rather due to an unidentified individual obtaining control over a phone number.

I love it! One less custom implementation to maintain. The adopted solution is surprisingly similar to what we had built in @dnsimple.
Rails 7.1's normalizes method is one of my favorite improvements. No more overriding setter methods or defining before_validation callbacks. Plus it ignores nil values by default.

I just finished reviewing the upcoming TLD price changes at the registries. In October, some TLDs will increase by 110-135%. It feels wrong. We’ll need to pass on the cost increase to our customers, and be the target of their disappointment.

I’ve been using @SimpleLogin to mask my private emails. Yesterday I had to reply to a support email sent to one of my masked emails. I found I can just reply and have the email being sent from the masked address, without revealing my private email. Full protection. I love it 💯
