Gut-wrenching and powerful reporting by @HannahFurfaro for @stmentalhealth. “The medical system has little incentive to build” the supports necessary since “Mental health care is a money-losing proposition.”

Hundreds of vulnerable Washington kids with psychiatric conditions are living for days or weeks in small hospital emergency rooms, a crisis made worse during the pandemic.

"The world we live in is not working. We have these multifaceted crises — health crises, economic crises, societal crises, racial crises, environmental issues, geopolitical tensions." True. And, the disability divide and other inequities. #stakeholdercapitalism #designjustice
I like how @HubertJoly_ thinks, and more important, how he operates - putting stakeholder capitalism into action. Good Corner Office interview https://t.co/pOhp9KA6nS ...#moralimagination

Yes. Yes. Yes. Design justice is how and stakeholder capitalism is what is needed to create an equitable, sustainable economy and world that is increasingly powered by #AI.

These are so good.
Do not let the fact that it could have been even worse lead you to forget that it did not have to be this bad. * A compendium of the sixty-ninth week of plague poems… https://t.co/TORkUgxyRO

Algorithmic scheduling keeps lower wage workers underemployed in unpredictable schedules without benefits & childcare while many salaried workers put in enough hours for two jobs. What if we had “one reasonable job per person.” Instead of “two for one and half for another.”
Employees and employers are sparring over when and how to return to the office, but the real answer to how we make work work in a post-pandemic world has to be that we do less of it

"Not making your digital product accessible to individuals with disabilities is like taking someone’s wheelchair and telling them to crawl for what they need. It’s painfully unethical and inhumane." — @imcatnoone on LinkedIn #Accessibility #A11y
