God bless our civil society, truly. Look at the platform built by https://t.co/FG0zYyee7X. They not only created a portal for the 2020-2026 budgets, they even made a user-friendly server for DPWH flood control projects & a SALN tracker. https://t.co/0rM9o7Ekad

some cosmic timing today as the super typhoon enters right away after the mass protest now every time it rains, nobody will think about resilience anymore. all those contractors and bureaucrats have blood on their hands with each life taken away by the flood.

"are the people rioting even aware of what we're fighting for?! " More than you can ever comprehend.
The things that are happening in Recto right now are genuinely pissing me off. A lot of people are missing the point of protesting for the greater good, heck, are the people rioting even aware of what we're fighting for?! And what is it with "peaceful protests don't exist?"

Bakit nga ba ulit nagkakaroon ng uncivilized in the first place? Quickly.

The moment some people’s sense of decorum and normalcy is threatened, the classism is unleashed (ready to go, always in the back pocket): omg damage to property, nagbabayad ba ng tax ang mga yan, baka 4ps recipient, dapat disiplinado ayan tuloy, etc etc.

In that regard, matapang sila. We can go on endlessly moralizing, but it won't change the truth: nag-uumapaw ang galit ng bayan. Hindi na matatakpan ng pamahalaan.

I disagree with the narrative being pushed by media and by various groups that violence has no place in revolution. History shows it does. Overthrowing an oppressive system can only be non-violent if the oppressor does not resort to violence. Corruption and poverty is violence.
