Check out the newly painted basketball courts on Carpenters Estate. The designs are beautifully colourful community-designed patterns that we worked with young people to create. Thanks to @woodstreetwalls for the patience + work and the team at The Dovetail + @populoliving

Last summer, we had a chance meeting with some police horses on #CarpentersEstate, which was a lovely Wednesday afternoon surprise. The kids were really excited to feed the horses some carrots and apples from the community garden, and we're sure the horses enjoyed it too!

It's #SecondHandSeptember, a campaign led by @oxfamgb encouraging shoppers to only buy second-hand clothes. Fashion is one of the most polluting industries - you can help by only shopping secondhand, donating your unwanted clothes to charity, recycling them or swapping them.

Join @NHM_London in their #NatureOverheard survey, collecting insect sounds for scientific research to make roads better for nature. Take part by recording audio on your street + observing insects.

During our Young Designers activity around climate resilience, in pairs the young people had to choose a set of 8 ingredients for creating a climate resilient place, identifying and assigning social value to the interventions they chose.

We recently made this map to show the London boroughs that we've had recent work in. Being Newham-based, we like to stay pretty local so that we can be on-the-ground as much as poss, but we're not averse to jumping on the tube / bikes / taxi to get to where we need to be!

We've really enjoyed researching Bow Goods Yard's history and the surrounding area for these patterns, used for collages in Young Designers workshops. Bow and Stratford both have a long and important industrial heritage, and also a rich history of activism.
