Rome wasn’t built in a day, neither will Lowe’s North End. He’s inherited a squad with a lot of dead wood and getting rid of those/bringing in the players he wants isn’t going to be done overnight. A case of ticking over until a big summer.

The trick with the rest of this season is to be level headed. We’ll tick over until the summer when Lowe can really sink his teeth into the squad. They’ll be some good moments like Stoke and West Brom. But I also expect some Swansea/Millwall performances. Trust the process.

The main talking point for me today was McCann in that holding role. Hasn’t the passing range of Whiteman but is very tenacious and was effective throughout. Certainly rather him there then Ledson.

I think it’s really important for a manager, especially in a time of struggle for a club, to really try and build a strong rapport/relationship with the supporters. Frankie seems to be going the opposite way. I don’t know one person who wasn’t over the moon with the McCann deal?
