Anyone with video of the suspects is asked to call the Webster Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (281) 316-4160. Residents are also encouraged to register their home security cameras with the Webster Police Department.

The Webster Police Department reminds all residents to lock their cars and secure valuables, especially firearms. Several residents have provided surveillance video, which has proved very helpful.

The Webster Police Department is investigating several motor vehicle burglaries in the Edgewater neighborhood during the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 4. Investigators are actively following up on leads.

The funeral service for Michael "Big Mike" Hayes will be held on Wednesday, August 25, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church located at 18220 Upper Bay Rd. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and the service will start at 10 a.m.

Update: Tuesday, August 10 at 11 a.m. The roadway is now fully open.

Traffic Alert- First responders are currently working on a fatality crash on the n/b frontage road of I-45- near American Furniture Warehouse. At this time, one lane of the feeder road is open. The investigation will create significant traffic backups for the next several hours.

Mike was an 18-year veteran of the Webster Communications Center. He was a valued member of our public safety team, and his legacy will be his years of selfless public service to the Webster and Nassau Bay communities. Please keep the Hayes family in your prayers.

*Traffic Update 4:10pm* 2 lanes along the northbound frontage road at W Medical Center Blvd have reopened, CenterPoint Energy remains on scene making repairs.

*Traffic Update* 1:50pm CenterPoint Energy is on scene assessing a major gas line break at i45 and W Medical Center Blvd. Please avoid the area if possible. The northbound feeder is currently closed to all traffic for an unknown period of time.

*TRAFFIC ALERT*Webster Police and Fire Department are on the scene of a gas leak and have all I-45 northbound frontage road lanes closed at W Medical Center Blvd. The length of the closure is unkown at this time Centerpoint Energy is on the way to the scene. Ck back for updates.
