Let me spell this out for you: the fall of Ukraine is the start of WWIII. Everything up for grabs by those who have monopoly on violence. As a Ukrainian-American I can tell you that unimaginable very quickly becomes imaginable.
This isn't about Zelensky. It isn't even about Ukraine. It's about preserving the entire post-1945 international order, which rests on the idea that you can't just help yourself to a slice of another country's territory.

It took Russia 20 months to advance 25 miles from Avdiivka to Pokrovsk. Russia still hasn't taken it despite nearly 5 months of urban combat. Burden of proof lies w/ those who argue that Russia can seize the rest of Donetsk so rapidly that Ukraine must surrender all of it now.
