WDF extends deepest condolences to the family, friends and comrades of Maulana Khanzaib, a leader of ANP. We strongly condemn the growing attacks in KP & erstwhile FATA and demand peace in the province and across the country.

WDF demands immediate reproduction of all detained BYC leaders in front of a court of law, and a full disclosure of their physical & psychological condition. We call on all democratic forces & legal fraternity to rise against unjust incarceration of peaceful rights activists.

The state’s refusal to produce the detained activists in any legal forum reflects a failure of due process and an attempt to crush voices demanding justice for the people of Balochistan.

This deliberate incommunicado detention raises urgent and serious concerns regarding the right to fair trial and access to a lawyer.

According to reports, the families and lawyers of the detained are being denied access to their loved ones. Meanwhile, male detainees have been shifted to the Cantt Police Station.

WDF is disturbed & condemns the latest wave of repression against Baloch political organizers. The recent transfer of BYC leaders, from Hudda Jail to the Civil Lines Police Station in Quetta, without any legal proceedings, is a blatant violation of fundamental rights.

WDF is deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Tasneem Minto, a prolific writer & a progressive woman rights advocate. She was one of the founding members of WAF & remain committed to social justice is her entire life. We extend our condolences to her family & friends.
