We've officially seen 31 wet weekends in a row in Burlington. According to our records, which date back to 1884, this is the longest we've gone without a completely dry weekend! And since January 1st, nearly 46% of our yearly precipitation has fallen on the weekends!

As you step out the door this morning, it will feel very refreshing compared to the last few days!. The humidity is finally gone, and temperatures are seasonable in the low 60s. But it is pretty breezy this morning with winds out of the north and northwest between 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight we'll be kissing the 90s and humidity goodbye for awhile. Bone dry humidity and highs only in the 70s are expected tomorrow. You might even need a light jacket Saturday morning! Here's what to expect in your evening forecast discussion.

There's a risk for severe storms this afternoon and evening. The biggest threat today will be strong winds, but there's also a low chance for a brief weak tornado. The best chance to see storms become strong or severe will be between 3pm and 8pm tonight.

Scattered thunderstorms this evening have the potential to be strong or severe. With any severe storms there's a threat for strong winds, heavy downpours, or a brief tornado. But after the storms, we'll finally get some relief from the heat and humidity.

If you hate the humidity, here's some good news for tomorrow. Dew points today will be staying oppressively humid in the low 70s, but they will be dropping after thunderstorms this evening. We could see some storms become severe today with strong winds or a brief tornado.

It'll be another hot, humid, and hazy afternoon tomorrow. No different than the past few days; however, this time around, we'll be looking at more widespread thunderstorm activity with a few isolated severe storms possible.

The Canadian wildfire smoke is clearing today and overnight, the smoke should be out of our region and we should have much better air quality by morning. But overnight dew points will be climbing into the 70s with temperatures only in the low 70s.

The wildfire smoke in the air is giving us a pretty sunrise, but it's also still having an impact on our air quality. We're seeing air quality that is unhealthy for sensitive groups. This means sensitive groups should limit their time outdoors until the air quality improves.

While air quality will be improving tomorrow, conditions will be hazardous but in a different way. A combination of heat and humidity will have conditions feeling stifling. Heat index values just shy of 100° in some spots are expected.
