There was someone who said that traveling outside Kenya opens your eyes on how stagnant we've been. Kenya still feels like it's stuck in 2013. If you ask any avg Kenyan whether they feel their life has improved since 2013, they'll simply tell you no or it got worse.

So I made some friends in Malaysia. Then found out that we our pay scales aren't very far from each other. An engineer there starts at 100k to 130k where ours starts at 50k to 80k. But guess what? They have double or triple our purchasing power.
