LOL I directed "Scrappy Loses It" - shown here in the 2nd image. I believe we produced that at Primal Screen in 2001. (And I animated Shaggy myself here.)

The writers of the “animation is just for kids” joke clearly didn’t watch any of the short films because uhh, there were some serious themes in pretty much all of the nominations. (War, holocaust survivor story, sexual abuse, arson, etc…)

The first appearance of the Dune story was in Analog Magazine, Dec 1963. Here's the cover and the two other covers where Frank Herbert's epic sci-fi legend was featured. Artist was John Schoenherr. Link: https://t.co/i72ZUDSiek More covers in this 🧵 - #wardsmorguefile

ICYMI - yes, I've done reverse Google image search. Multiple times. It all comes back to the same damn post. No other site posted this artist's work. 🤷♂️

This is what really frustrates me about blogs like Tumblr - no credit for artwork. And it only gets worse when this post is reposting from a blog that's now defunct/deactivated. So here we are, with orphan illustrations - no credit, no details. 😩

Would anyone know who the artist is for the images in this post on Tumblr? (The OP is not the artist, btw) In 2 of the images (the vehicles) there's a "CH" in the corner. Thinking it's an animation artist? Here's the post: https://t.co/idYI1F5n1U

Ralph Hulett worked at Disney as a background painter from the late-1930s on thru the 1960s. He was also a member of the California Watercolor Society. Prolific & talented, he created many holiday cards during the 50s. His son, Stephen posted many of these cards years ago:

A BIG CONGRATS to the incredibly talented & amazingly generous Dan Santat - he is SO deserving of this award. One of the hardest working artists in this industry and he does it with authenticity, dedication, and humor. Great job, Dan.

I grew up in Stone Mountain. I used to think that the huge carving on the side of the mountain was impressive. Now, I hate it. It’s embarrassing & ugly. I feel that it should be sandblasted, leaving behind a deep, ugly scar - symbolic for what that war truly was to this country.
And this is why this #LostCause, #Confederate traitors, #klan graffiti defacing #StoneMountain Georgia needs to be sandblasted away, immediately. #PBS
