The airport in Praia is very small and has no lounges, but they do have an outdoor courtyard with a bar serving drinks and food. It was lovely - and more so because it was cigar-friendly. Glad I arrived early. #travel #airports #caboverde

The Miradouro da Lua (the Viewpoint of the Moon) south of Luanda in Angola. An impressive natural landscape & I am glad I saw it, but it is about an hour each way for the city & I found it less impressive in person than in photos. #travel

I eventually made it to Luanda after almost a day of layovers. This meant I had only an about 26 hours. I made the most of it. Luanda was a surprisingly nice city. #travel #solotravel #angola

My flight from São Tomé to Luanda ended up being delayed so long that I lost a day in Angola. Spent HOURS at the airport in São Tomé, which is, to say the least, basic. I was delighted when I found someone who spoke English to chat with. All part of the adventure. Airport pics ⬇️

My flight from São Tomé to Luanda has been rescheduled much later so I have an extra day in São Tomé but lose a day in Luanda. Not ideal as I was only going to be in Luanda for 2 days (so expensive), but I’ll make the most of it. #gowiththeflow #travel #centralafrica
