Captain Sir Tom Moore was the very best of us. Where he walked, a nation followed. I pray for his family and friends, and I join with millions across the country in mourning with them

I continue to pray for everyone working in the NHS at this acutely difficult time. Thank you for everything you do. May God protect and strengthen you. May you find some rest and renewal. ‘Give, and it will be given to you’ (Luke 6:38) #StayHomeSaveLives

Christmas is going to be different and difficult for so many. My prayers are with all those who are sad, afraid and suffering. But the message of Christmas remains the same: God is with us. Let’s do everything we can to share that love with others, even if we can’t be together.

My goodness me what a draconian series of announcements. What a crappy year we have had and what a different Christmas is looming. But remember Christmas is very much NOT cancelled and the Good News that is coming when a little bit of heaven touched earth is needed more than ever

If you're going to church today: 1) Be VERY careful for the sake of others 2) Pray for an end to this dreadful virus 3) Encourage the fearful or lonely 4) Be thankful that God is still with us

Last few days I’ve RT’d 2 politicians who said commendable things. One on the left, the other on the right. Both tweets have triggered angry Pavlovian reactions from those unable to commend anything good in those with whom they disagree. This is sad. We need to rediscover grace

Prayer changes things. It changes things by inviting God into the room. We can pray & invite God to change us, giving us the solace, strength and comfort we need #Prayerforthenation

When in a storm called Covid-19....
When Jesus and his disciples are caught in a storm, the disciples are terrified. “Why are you so afraid?”, Jesus asks. This year we’ve been caught in a storm that often seems overwhelming. But we can look to Jesus, who calms the storm and comforts us in our fear.
