Shout out Rodney Purvis. Shout out Christian Vital. Shout out Isaiah Whaley, Shout out Tyler Polley. Shout out Alterique Gilbert. Shout out Josh Carlton. Shout out RJ Cole. Shout out Tyrese Martin. So many others, Kings who built us back and kept us going.
One thing about being a UConn fan is in conference we need to respond to “rural, farm/state school, cow tipping, hicks” taunts and then out of conference we have to respond to “coastal, elitist, snob” taunts. Really teaches us to be versatile.
Not a guarantee but likely the last time we will ever watch

In UConn Jerseys. Thank You Boys and go Bring us Home.
Yale's marching band wasn't able to travel to Spokane for their NCAA Tournament game against Auburn today.
So, Idaho's band filled in for them—and wore Yale apparel.
The “You can only root for a school you went to” discourse is so weird. Are non college attendees not allowed to root for college sports? What about people who grew up as fans of a school then for economic/major/location reasons went to a different school? It’s so dumb
If you have student loan debt, you should know this:
Every single House Republican just voted to overturn President Biden’s student debt forgiveness plan AND retroactively charge you interest on your paused payments.
Absolutely wild to remember that Kevin Ollie beat, consecutively:

3)-Fred Hoiberg

That 2014 Tournament Run was murderers row. Truly amazing.
Compare where UConn Athletics was five years ago to where it is now. Just an entirely better place. Take a bow Dan Hurley, Jim Mora and David Benedict.
Actress Sydney Sweeney has revealed in an interview her favorite college basketball player is Samson Johnson.
“The two national championships are incredible” The Hollywood star said. “Also, he makes an incredible number of dunks, which is just so much fun for everybody”
I hope guys like RJ, Christian Vital, Jalen Adams, Tyler Polley, Isaiah Whaley and so many others who I couldn’t fit in a twist feel like they are a part of this. Because they deserve to.
If Deshaun Watson gets fewer games for alleged sexual assault, than Tom Brady got for alleged deflation of footballs. Burn the entire league to the ground.
The intent of Deshaun Watson to sue over a full-season suspension may never become reality. The current thinking is that Judge Robinson's punishment will land in the range of 2-8 games.
So Gus has taken some heat for openly cheering, but honestly the game was well decided by this point. Triple doubles are cool. Enthusiasm is cool. I'd be curious what any Nova fans think but seems like making something out of nothing.
This is a night where the XL Center shines for UConn. Obviously its a dump in need of massive repairs, but still, 16k, students out of town for the most part, great day for City Business's, really nice to see.
How the hell am I supposed to say goodbye to Jonathan XIV, Cam, Tristen, Steph and Donovan on the same day. Who is paying for the therapy necessary for me to process this.
Poor Naheim Alleyne. Could have been a role player on an elite team, instead he’s a role player on a NIT Team lead by a lecherous septuagenarian so thoroughly consumed by narcissism he’s publicly driving a 18 wheeler over the roster he hand selected. Rough.
I wish I had been a conscious UConn fan at this moment. Like going from 0 to 1 Championships has to be the best feeling. I’ve enjoyed the ones I’ve seen tremendously, but I don’t think it really can parallel what this moment must have felt like.
The fact that there are genuinely people on here who think UConn should fire Hurley after 4 years of consistent improvement is actually mind boggling. Just bizarre.
Imagine explaining to yourself in 2008 that UConn is coached by Bobby Hurley’s brother, has an assistant coach who is Bill Murray’s son, and routinely brings in Maurice Clarett as an inspirational speaker. It’s all working, but it’s still bizarre.
I’ve been a UConn fan since 2005-06 when I was 10 years old. This is my first time at a Big East Home game at Gampel. I showed up an hour early likely I’m a undergrad who needs to line up for seats. I’m mildly emotional. Roll damn Huskies.
Forgive me for violating a piety of “good fandom”, but, Do I wish Cooper Flagg the best? Not really, he’s going to Duke and I’ve never wished a single good thing for Duke players. I hope he gets straight As, a beautiful girlfriend, and shoots Zero percent from the field.
WOW. We have received footage of UCONN Coach Dan Hurley telling a Creighton student “I will knock you out”
I’ve always respected what Hurley has done on the court. But this is a bad too far☹️
Todays UConn Students deserve a lot of credit for how they support the women’s team. Student Sections are way fuller and more energetic for Women’s games then when I was a student 5~10 years ago. An encouraging culture shift.
The Big East is a mega fun League. Unfortunately it is not perceived as a true power conference. It’s Desperately unfair, but the only way that changes is other teams making deep runs. So Roll Damn Jays and Go Marquette.
ESPN has the broadcast rights to Kansas-Texas and UCLA-Arizona and they literally took Gameday to the Chapel Road Mid Off in a historically weak ACC for the 2nd time in one season. Absolutely negligent coverage of the sport.
Don’t want to ever hear somebody call Alex Karaban soft btw, the guy is undersized and learning his role defensively as a freshman, but he ain’t soft. Never puts his head down, and scraps even if he doesn’t always win.
Against Georgetown Andre Jackson defended Primo Spears out of the Game. Against Marquette he defended Tyler Kolek out of the game. If you are logging on to trash him now, you know less about basketball than a blueberry pop tart.
Maybe I’m just getting older and grumpier, but every single f*cking Coach playing the “everyone doubted us” card is getting old. Your Ohio State. Your pre-season Top 5 every year. This is embarrassing.

I don’t frequently say nice things about PC, but if you were to poll the students at each Big Wast institution about whether they cared about the MBB program I’m willing to bet PC has the highest percentage that say “Yes”.
Villanova just beat two ranked teams and was completely healthy, they got every call and we dog walked them. Exceptional performance from the boys. Bring on MSG.
Nobody will remember:
- Your salary
- Your fancy title
- How ‘busy’ you were
- How stressed you were
- How many hours you worked
People will remember:
-In 2014 the UConn Huskies won the National Championship in both men’s and women’s ba
UConn fans when did you first think: We are going back to back? For me it was the game @ Kansas. That performance down 1.5 starters convinced me we were the best team in the country and I never changed my mind for the rest of the season.
My dad has a friend who is essentially home bound with a really serious disease. This friend is a diehard UConn fan, probably since the 70s/80s.
@dhurley15
just sent him a signed championship t-shirt. Thanks so much coach. Made my day.
little sick of the media coverage of UConn that’s like “Oh Sleepy little Storrs, why would want to be there”. It’s the best public university in NE or the Tri-state. 1,400 ish kids from out of state go there every year. Dozens of Valedictorians/Salutatorians of CT High Schools.
@CreighTakes
If you actually head over to Josh Jones’ Facebook stories, he actually caught the whole scene. He actually says “If you reach over, I’ll knock you out!” here’s the whole clip. I’ve now seen this incident from multiple angles. Regardless Hurley is bum for acting like this.
I just don't get how recruits can watch the Big East, see every school revolving around the sport, and then choose to commit to like Mississippi State.
Random, but I finally got this from my parents house today. A quilt my grandma made from a bunch of t-shirts I got while a UConn undergrad 2013-17. Probably my favorite piece of UConn memorabilia. Gonna hang on a wall everywhere I ever live.
I’m so glad this is Public because this has been my theory since the “He looks like Nika Muhl” out there comments. From November to January, Naheim played like a man with an unrequited crush, from February onwards the increased confidence was obvious (I’m bad at being offline).
PSA To my fellow UConn fans. Please do not to turn on Hurley. The tourney exits have been disappointing, but by every other metric Hurley has done an A+ job reviving us from near death. Our biggest threat, is impatience choking something before it can grow. Don’t let that happen.
We have some of the weakest, most spoiled fans in the world man. Ya know what will happen if you get rid of Hurley, talent will leave, next years recruiting class will scatter and you will want the next guy fired when he doesn’t win a Natty in 3 years.
