Explore zombieland with Philip Goff and I as we discuss type-b physicalism, the link between conceivability and possibility, Goff’s differences with David Chalmers, and much else related to the conceivability argument:

What’s that? It’s more complicated? Not all Christians believe those things? What I’ve read on a random subreddit wasn’t 100% accurate?

A few more bizarre things Mormons believe:. -the bread you eat during communion is literally the flesh of Jesus.-most of the people who’ve ever lived will be tortured for infinity years.-there was once a talking donkey, like in shrek.-certain items possess magical healing powers.

“There’s something special about Mormonism that should be saved but also you should change to be more like everyone else”. There are so many people who recognize that the LDS church produces good fruits but also try to lecture Mormons about everything they’re doing wrong lol.

I think Mormons have a real opportunity to pivot away from their truly bizarre beliefs and become a normal Christian denomination. I think they likely have to to survive in the long-run and they'd be better for it. Something special about mormonism that should be saved.

This has been such a fun week as an unhinged discourse spectator. The e-girl war, prison abolitionism, public defenders, and I just saw someone call Nick Fuentes a leftist. Yet I feel God has more gifts to give us this week. I can feel it. It’s not over.

Most universalist arguments draw from God's nature, not ours. But since we're talking about what we deserve: Nobody who has ever lived deserves or could possibly deserve to be tortured for eternity. That doesn't get you all the way to universalism, but it does rule out the.

"this is what universalism *requires* to be true" . what a spectacular failure to understand universalist arguments.

If we can't earn salvation by our works, we certainly cannot earn or deserve our salvation simply by existing (as human persons). Yet this is exactly what universalism requires to be true: that we deserve salvation by existing. That's impossible. Nobody can deserve salvation.

I seriously doubt that Nick Fuentes is a fed. I used to believe he was, but the case falls apart if you bother to look into it in any depth.

I want to start with 1-3 so I can be an obnoxious contrarian and talk about how good they are (except for that one character who is legitimately annoying).
