Far off, but not crazy. Fandoms are getting increasingly organized with stream teams, bars and so on. The next step would be to start coordinating between fandoms on issues of mutual concern, such as mistreatment, which is an industry-wide issue. This could in theory be done.

Big companies know they can play the interests of different fandoms against each other. The day they start getting protest trucks from 3+ fandoms in solidarity with one group or even cross-company protests, then I think they will really begin to feel the heat. That seems far off.

Not to get too Marxist, but the big companies thrive on each fandom being an island and nobody thinking systemically. Whether it's debut age or mistreatment, nothing is going to change while activism happens on a by-group basis. Real change would require cross-fandom activism.
