Just found out a huge competitor copied us 3 features, almost identical to ours. First I was shocked, then oddly proud. We’re building the right stuff 💪

Over the last weeks I started having the feeling there was a red flag 🚩on my account as I had very old paywalls cancelled. Apparently though, it’s just that Apple is getting more strict in their Paywall reviews.
@xmarioapps Hey Mario, I have spent a week resolving that issue. I have 10 apps, and they all were rejected due to a paywall that I had used for 1 year or more. I even made a call with Apple to understand what they want

For a while, I was concerned about the impact of campaigns with @indieappsanta or @AppAdvice on traffic quality. After running a few, I’ve seen that it only takes a few days for the algorithm to recalibrate and find the right users again. Below activation data of one of my apps

The art of balancing free and paid. Each business has a different reality so invest time in trying what does and doesn't work You can also benefit from free users to: · Increase reviews · Bring you other user who will pay · Improve engagement metrics to help you ranking in store

IMO, guided tours are generally a bad idea. · Activation metrics get inflated and don't reflect actual UX situation. · Makes the product seem complicated and proves you the UX is shit. As @ElenaVerna said recently, provide contextual, timely in-app notifications and messages.

Product defensibility. Not all products can build communities around their audience in a way that delivers value or makes sense to users. But there's other ways.

In fact, I was quite surprise about this one. 50% success on experiments? That's a lot! I guess they test almost everything, even the most obvious stuff, which inflates this metric.
