Just a reminder that we can still 'see' the Andromeda from Earth even with just a 12 year old basic DSLR and a telephoto lens.
This is a comparison of how a single shot looked like, vs 3000 exposures stacked together. No telescope or expensive tracking mount used.

100%. Although if you looked at it with naked eyes from a dark area, you won't see its dim outer arms.
But in terms of its actual size, M31 has an angular diameter of ~3 degrees, while the full Moon is around 0.5 degrees.
Conclusion- It appears 6 times as wide as the Moon to us

I had an entire racket going. I got 10 Rs per week so I'd spend it on uncle chips. Of course they tasted absolutely horrible, I just wanted the Pokemon tazos so I would sell the chips sans tazos to a friend at Rs 5-8. If I got a duplicate tazo I'd sell that at Rs 10 as well
