i didn't even bother optimizing the scene, so it ended up being around 8 million points 💀 but the mac studio handled it like a champ ✨. for rendering, i got support from my other RTX 4090 machine.

i made this scene to see how far i can push the new mac studio with m3 ultra. while the character and most of the assets were created prior to this scene, all animation, lighting, and simulations were done on the mac.

it's a skill issue for most.

at the end of the day the enthusiasts and professionals doesn't really make OS upgrades or system changes too big of a problem. if your important software breaks when you update to the next major version, then give it a few weeks/months and try again. this applies to mac too.

i don't worry myself with windows 10 vs. windows 11 chaos because i switched to 11 the day it came out of the beta. yes i use 11 for heavy CG work and gaming. yes 11 is better than 10 in many ways.
