Thanks, but it's not just that. I never did CP I never participated in Hackathons I don't have a project portfolio I still got into 2 of the FAANGs. But I DON'T go around saying you don't need any of these. Timing, luck, different prep + skills play a role. DON'T be like me.

If your project has multiple layers like UI, auth, svcs, db etc. Give preference to establishing a simple end to end workflow before adding a ton of business logic. Benefits: 1. Early resolution of integration issues 2. Skeleton to build on top of 3. Easier to demo progress

After interviews, don’t send LinkedIn requests to the interviewers and ask for feedback. This looks unprofessional & interviewers aren’t generally allowed to share feedback. You should send a thank you email to the recruiter instead and ask whether they could share any feedback

It's everyone's dream to see their kids do better than them! I generally worry about my son, knowing how much he's like me (not in a good way) and then he does something which gives me hope! During his swim practice, he swam 4000 yards / 3.65 kms in ~1.5 hours. He is 13.
