I completed the February challenge faster than 92.0% of all learners on Duolingo!

The effects of the attempted suicide made my anxiety the worst it’s been in years, to the point of having panic attacks. Work were supportive, then my boss made me have two days off. I was furious at the time, but he may have been right, much as it pains me to admit this! 🤦‍♀️

Today was a testing day at the coal face. A man attempted to kill himself by throwing himself in front of my bus. I didn’t kill him, or even hit him. He looked straight at me before he jumped - it was definitely deliberate.

Oxford is a special! And that’s not always a compliment.

Just a quick message to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope 2026 brings all that you want. I spent NY out in the wilds of Scotland with my sister and her family. They fly home tomorrow and we have a long drive back and the reality bites on Monday!

Turns out the van driver who cut me up a year ago is now saying it’s my fault 🤦‍♀️ so I now have to give a statement to the company legal people. I remember this one quite well, including his admission that he left me with nowhere to go!

My grandmother married an American so I have family there. I’ve been twice, I’d like to go again, but it’s not feeling very welcoming right now.

I’ve said it before, we have a work FB thing, the company use it for serious stuff & info, we can use it for whatever, as long as we play nice. The ‘administrators’ (any manager) can delete stuff, and you can be banned. I’ve just had such an innocuous comment deleted I give up 🤦‍♀️

You can’t be forced to do overtime. Yet today I was 33 minutes late off - not my choice, but not a lot I could do about it. 🤷‍♀️😡

The cupboard is nearly bare.

I reported someone on FB ( 1st time) & told FB the laws broken, but they state that ‘it isn’t clear to them’. Ok FB, so using derogatory expressions regarding 2 of the 9 protected characteristics of the Equality Act is ok. I despair - this is the price of self regulation!

Me and EV 13 (unlucky for some) on something a bit different today.

Something different as I’m on my AR week ( as required), we don’t have duties and are allocated work based on what needs covering - we have 2 AR weeks on my rota. Sometimes you cover leave in your own rota, but depending on the routes you know (me - all) you can get a variety.

So yesterday I was in the sticks again, different sticks being Chippy (Chipping Norton). Change is as good as a rest they say, and as a bonus I had a side trip to Charlbury. It was beautiful driving along the country lanes with all the beautiful colours of the leaves changing 🍂

Now I know fuck all about the railway; but maybe someone who does can tell me why the level crossing barriers go down and then we sit there for a minimum of 3 minutes before a train appears. I get there has to be separation, but 3 mins 🙄🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Day out in the sticks (well Bicester) today. Got sticky out things (mirrors) and my first trip is through the villages to the JR after Storm Amy - what could go wrong 🤦‍♀️

I rarely take 2 days off unless on leave. But I’ve got this weekend off and I’ve got a cold, courtesy of my boss! I’m not impressed ☹️

Today my colleague who was dismissed, was reinstated on appeal! Whoop whoop 🙌

We’ve reached the time of year when it’s dark when I start work on early duties 😔

Earlier on this year I became a union rep at my garage. I’m a gobby cow, so I might as well try and put that to some use. Today I had to accompany a colleague to a disciplinary that resulted in their dismissal. This is a low point. 😪
